Dinah Jane Releases New EP 'Dinah Jane 1': Hear 3 New Songs

Republic Records Grammy After Party At Spring Place Beverly Hills - Arrivals

Dinah Jane just hit us with some new music!

Last night saw the midnight debut of the former Fifth Harmony member's first solo work, an extended play titled Dinah Jane 1. The R&B-infused EP features three new cuts from the 21-year-old artist: "Heard It All Before," "Pass Me By," and "Fix It."

Jane's EP is the third project to release from a 5H member since remaining group members — Normani, Lauren Jauregui, and Ally Brooke — announced the band's indefinite hiatus in March 2018. Former member Camila Cabello, who left the group to pursue her solo career in 2016, dropped her self-titled debut album in January 2018. Normani released her Normani x Calvin Harris with DJ Calvin Harris the following October.

Months after signing with L.A. Reid's Hitco label, Jane premiered her first solo single "Bottled Up" featuring Ty Dolla $ign and Marc E. Bassy in November 2018.

In tandem with the EP's release, Jane announced the music video for "Heard It All Before" would premiere Friday (April 19).

“I’m so much of a closed book. I do not want anyone knowing what’s going on in my life,” Jane told Billboard of her new record. “I’m very private and to myself, but I found out that expressing my story and what I’ve gone through is so much easier to come out through my music. It was very therapeutic, and in making these records, I found so much comfort and such relief. I feel so relieved just getting this all off my chest.”
