Rihanna Is Focused On Saving The World, So Stop Asking Her About New Music

Rihanna is much more than a pop superstar. She’s a business woman, who is trying to make a difference with a number of charitable efforts. Her most recent endeavor included a team-up with Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey to donate $4.2 million to help domestic violence victims in LA amid the COVID-19 lockdown.

On Friday (April 10), the chart-topper, 32, took to Instagram Live to host a dance party amid the news and, of course, viewers asked about new music. "If one of y’all motherf**kers ask me about the album one more time when I’m tryna save the world unlike y’all president… on sight!" she said during the session. Rih's last album, Anti, dropped in 2016 and the pop star has been steadily working on its follow-up, which she initially said would drop in 2019.

As for her team-up with Dorsey, the star's Clara Lionel Foundation (CLF) announced the formation of a $4.2 million grant to help individuals who have been turned away from domestic violence shelters due to capacity restrictions. The funds will go toward the Mayor's Fund of Los Angeles to "provide 10 weeks of support including shelter, meals, and counseling for individuals and their children suffering from domestic violence at a time when shelters are full and incidents are on the rise," per a press release. If you’ve been following the pop star, this is her latest charitable effort besides a $5 million donation and sending protective supplies to New York State.
