Sexyy Red plans to assist victims after the city of St. Louis was struck by a devastating tornado.

On Tuesday, May 20, the "U My Everything" rapper hopped on Instagram to address citizens impacted by the natural disaster that impacted her hometown last Friday. The deadly tornado killed five people and affected about 5,000 others, according to CBS News. Big Sexyy told her five million Instagram followers she's thinking about the families of those who died or were injured during the storm, and promised to help them out.

"ST. LOUIS, MY HEART IS WITH YOU," she wrote.

“Idc what nobody say this the city that made me who I am so this is personal !!" she continued. "I have major plans to help us out I got us period just b patient and please stay strong. Let me know what yal need so I can help out for now #PrayForStLouis #STLStrong.”

Other artists like Trae Tha Truth also supported Sexyy Red's efforts to help the people of St. Louis. The Houston native is known for going above and beyond to provide relief to those in need following natural disasters. "I Got Ya Sis… We pullin up," he wrote in her comment section.

St. Louis Mayor Cara Spencer called the EF-3 tornado "one of the worst storms" to hit the city. It touched down in Central St. Louis between 2:30 and 2:50 p.m. without warning. Sirens were supposed to go off before the storm approached the major city in Missouri. Unfortunately, the button to activate the sirens didn't work, and Sarah Russell, the commissioner of the City Emergency Management Agency in St. Louis, reportedly didn't give a clear direction to activate it.

At this time, Sexyy Red's plans to help people in her hometown have not been announced. Look out for more updates coming soon.
