A Guide to Supporting Local Restaurants

With the world going through a hard time right now, everyone is doing their best to practice social distancing. This means that local restaurants need our support now more than ever!

It may be hard to keep track of which restaurants are open and which are closed, so here's a small list. Listed below you can find one breakfast spot, one lunch spot, one dinner spot, and one bakery in the NYC/NJ area that are open.

For anyone in the Brooklyn area who has been craving a New York City bagel, you're in luck! Bagel Hole of Park Slope is currently open for pick-up and delivery. They are open seven days a week, from 7am until 3pm. To promote social distancing, they are allowing five customers in at a time if you choose to pick up your order.

Rubirosa's pizza is a New York City favorite. They are currently open for take-out and delivery. As stated on their website, they are also selling a "Rubirosa Staff Relief Fund Shirt", and all proceeds will go to their staff members that are currently unable to work.

What's a better way to spend your Tuesday than making it a Taco Tuesday? Regardless, tacos are great any day of the week. Ho'Brah: A Taco Joint locations in Staten Island and Bay Ridge are open for delivery and curbside pick-up! Their new hours are 2pm-9pm Monday-Friday, and 12pm-9pm Saturday and Sunday.

If you're in the mood for a treat, Cedar Ridge Cafe in Maplewood, NJ is the place for you! They are offering curbside pick-up and their hours vary each day. Keep checking their IG to see what treats and bakery items they're offering on a daily basis!

If you can't make it to any local restaurants, there's still other ways to show support. One great way is to purchase a gift card from them, which many places are allowing you do to on their websites!

Support your local restaurants, wash your hands, check in with your friends and family, and stay safe.
